Pastor Ben H. Cordle was born in Mt. Dora, FL, and grew up in the western panhandle of Florida. At age 24, while serving in the US Navy, stationed in Sigonella, Sicily, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. After serving two years in the ministry of Mediterranean Baptist Church, the Lord placed a burden on his heart and Pastor Cordle submitted to the calling to preach the Word of God. After serving a tour of duty in Jacksonville, FL, Pastor Cordle ended his Navy career and enrolled in Trinity Baptist College of Jacksonville, FL, receiving a Graduate of Theology. Br. Upon graduation from Trinity Baptist College in 1993, Pastor Cordle went to Gloucester City, NJ as a Pastor of Christian Education at Lighthouse Baptist Church. After staying at LBC for 2 years, Pastor Cordle stepped out on Faith and started Gospel Light Baptist Church of Pennsauken, NJ, in August of 1996. GLBC began in the home of Pastor Cordle and within a year had to find another location due to their growth. While pastoring at GLBC Pastor Cordle also taught JR/SR High School at Heritage Christian Academy of Mt. Laurel, NJ. In August of 2003, Pastor Cordle accepted the calling of First Baptist Church of Easton, PA to become their Pastor of Christian Education/School Administrator. After serving at First Baptist Church for 18 months, Pastor Cordle felt led of the Lord to once again seek a pastorate. Br. Ben has been happily married to his high school sweetheart, the former Lynne Vick, for 29 years and they have three beautiful daughters, Tara, Sara and Cara.
