About Our Pastor:

Pastor Ben H. Cordle was born in Mt. Dora, FL, and grew up in the western panhandle of Florida.  At age 24, while serving in the US Navy, stationed in Sigonella, Sicily, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.  After serving two years in the ministry of Mediterranean Baptist Church, the Lord placed a burden on his heart and Pastor Cordle submitted to the calling to preach the Word of God.  After serving a tour of duty in Jacksonville, FL, Pastor Cordle ended his Navy career and enrolled in Trinity Baptist College of Jacksonville, FL, receiving a Graduate of Theology.  Br. Cordle has continued his education with a B.A. in Bible from Andersonville Baptist College and Seminary.

Upon graduation from Trinity Baptist College in 1993, Pastor Cordle went to Gloucester City, NJ as a Pastor of Christian Education at Lighthouse Baptist Church.  After staying at LBC for 2 years, Pastor Cordle stepped out on Faith and started Gospel Light Baptist Church of Pennsauken, NJ, in August of 1996.  GLBC began in the home of Pastor Cordle and within a year had to find another location due to their growth.  While pastoring at GLBC Pastor Cordle also taught JR/SR High School at Heritage Christian Academy of Mt. Laurel, NJ.  In August of 2003, Pastor Cordle accepted the calling of First Baptist Church of Easton, PA to become their Pastor of Christian Education/School Administrator.  After serving at First Baptist Church for 18 months, Pastor Cordle felt led of the Lord to once again seek a pastorate. On April 3, 2005, Pastor Cordle accepted the Pulpit as Senior Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Aberdeen, MD

Br. Ben has been happily married to his high school sweetheart, the former Lynne Vick, for 35 years. They have three beautiful daughters, Tara, Sara, Cara and eight wonderful grandchildren.

Br. Ben’s vision for Bible Baptist Church is to be the spiritual lighthouse of the city of Aberdeen. And that they would also produce the next generation of Christians that would be Christ honoring, in all things, including their study and defense of the Word of God (KJV), their Soul-Winning, their prayer life and their personal walk with the Lord.
